Chapter I Chapter II Chapter III Chapter IV
Chapter V

Sri Sathya Sai BabaSwami with His family members once visited Sree Virupaksha Temple of Pampa. When they arrived at the temple, Bala Sai did not go with the others inside. He stood near the gate. The pooja in the sanctorum began and everyone was surprised to see Sathya, standing in front of the lingam

They rushed out and saw Sathya standing as before, all alone and gazing at the sky, with an innocent smile on his rosy lips. Every one fell at His feet and praised Him.

One day Sathya came back from school and threw away His school bag and announced loudly, "Maya has left me. I am no more yours. My devotees are waiting for me." Sathya Sai’s sister-in-law, who was inside, rushed out but was almost blinded by a bright aura surrounding Sathya’s hand.

She closed her eyes, has she was not able to see the luster. Sathya Mother requested Him "Oh son, if you must leave us and go to your devotees, please stay here itself in Puttaparthi and protect and bestow your graces on all your children." Sathya Sai gracefully agreed to His Mother's humble request.

For a very long time, Swami stayed with Karnam Subbama, whose house was larger and would accommodate devotees, who came to see Him. Moreover Subbama herself was an ardent devotee and loved Sathya with all her heart. Devotees started coming from all over. Some times the food that was prepared would not be sufficient, to feed all the devotees. During such time, Subbama would approach Sai Narayan; he would then go to the kitchen with two coconuts and strike each other. After breaking them, He would sprinkle the coconut water on the food.

The food would automatically fed all the people and their would be some more left over. As the devotees increased, they agreed to build a Bhajan Hall on the left side of Subbama’s house. Once, when Swami was staying in Subbama’s house, a priest Laxmaiah arrived with his friend and his friend’s wife, who was mentally sick. The priest made his friend and his wife to wait on the Banks of the river Chitravathi.

The priest came to Subbama’s house and came across Swami Himself. The priest not knowing Swami, personally addressed Swami, "I believe, there is a boy here, who cures all ailments. Can you please take me to Him, as I have brought my friend and his mad wife."

Sathya Sai Narayan asked the priest to bring the couple to Him. He asked them to have a bath and then sit with the other devotees. Sathya gave Prasad to everyone. He created the divine vibuthi and put some in the woman’s mouth.

Later He cut the fruits, which the couple had brought, as offerings to Him and gave them to eat. Within no time, as the people were watching, the mad lady became normal and bowing with great reverence to Baba, left with her husband happily.

As the life of Karnam Subbamma was coming to an end, Swami made her perform lots of charity. When Swami left for Bangalore, Karnam Subbamma’s health deteriorated but her mind was constantly on Sathya Sai. Even her mouth, which uttered Baba’s name, stopped moving. Her breath stopped. She breathed her last, calling out Swami’s name.

At once, Sai Narayana from nowhere, appeared near her bed. He called her with His loving voice. " Subbamma, Subbamma, open your mouth." Subbamma, who was physically dead, opened her mouth and her hands started fumbling and trembling to hold Baba’s feet. Sai Narayana graciously took her hands in His and with His right hand, poured the holy Ganga's water into her parched soul, through her mouth. Subbamma, the true devotee of Swami, left the mortal coils with her eyes fixed on Sai’s divine lotus face and merged in Sai Narayana.

According to the wish of the devotee, Swami showed Himself, as her chosen God. To some, He showed Himself as Ganpathi, to some as Muragga, to some as Sri Rama and Sri Krishna and yet to some as Christ and pleased all.

There is a tamarind tree, from which Baba would pluck whatever fruit his devotees would ask for mangoes, bananas, apples, pears etc. He would point to them the tree, from which different fruits would be hanging.

Once a lawyer Krishnamachari came to Puttaparti from Penukonda, with the sole intention of exposing Sathya as charlatan. He was taken to Baba by Baba’s Father. Baba took the lawyer to a room and asked him to keep his eyes closed. When they entered the room, Swami asked the lawyer to open his eyes. The lawyer was surprised to see Shirdi Samadhi, with a garland on it, a pujari standing beside it, with pooja items in his hands.

Baba told the lawyer to look at the other side. He saw the Hanuman Temple, the neem tree, Gurustan, etc. The lawyer, was a follower of Shirdi Baba. When he got the Darshan of Sai Baba’s Samadhi, he fell at Baba’s Lotus Feet and asked Him for pardon. The Dayamurthy patted him on the back and immediately pardoned him.

Swami is all powerful. Whosoever calls Him in any name with love, He responds and blesses them.

The Third chapter of Sri Sathya Sai, Sathya Narayana Katha ends with all auspiciousness. Bow to Sri Sai Peace be to all.
