| Shiva Puja - Rudrakshas |
The importance of Rudraksha have been detailed in all the puranas of the Hindu religion, such as Devi Purana, Shiv Purana, Sikand Purana, Padam, Ling Purana. The Rudraksa are classified into four types of White, Red, Yellow, and Black. Classed as Brahmins, Ksatriyas, Vaisyas and Sudras. The lighter the Rudraksa, the more auspicious it is. Rudraksa of the even size glossy form, thick and thorn like will bestow desire forever. Six types of Rudrakshas shall be not used, that is for example inhabited by worms, which is cut or broken, and which is not thorn like, has cracks and is not circular. One, which has a natural hole from end to end, is the most excellent. The one with the holes made by the human effort is of middle value. Rudraksha trees are found in Nepal, Tibet, Indonesia, and Malaysia. This tree bears flowers and then the flowers turn into fruits, which are called Rudrakshas. They have four colors. White, Red, Yellow and Blue. The use of the White colored Rudraksha can be used when the Moon, Jupiter and Venus are afflicted in the birth chart so as to remove their malefic effects.
The Rudrakshas are hot by nature and controls thermodynamics and electromagnetic vibration around the human body. It is best used for tantras for checking evils, cleansing the soul and getting the blessing of the lord. OTHER USES OF THE RUDRAKSHAS The uses of the Rudrakshas malas, disease of the blood, heart trouble are controlled. One gets peace of mind as it takes out extra heat of the body. The person remains free from Yamraj ghosts and souls. It helps in awakening the kundalini. The person should be free from vices. He should be vegetarian and should keep a fast on a full Moon Amvavasya and Sankranti Day.
The person has to take bath in the morning and should wear clean clothes and sit on Asana and keep with him Puja Samagri and water and the Rudraksha. The Rudraksha should be kept on the wooden plank before him. One should apply tilak on forehead with Chandan, Sandoor and Bhasam. Cover the head with a piece of cloth.
On Monday before Sunrise one should take bath and Rudraksha bead Should be washed in clean water and then in cow milk. Light Agrabathi and hold the Rudraksha bead on the smoke of the Dhoop. Pooja should be started with three Achmans reciting each time the following mantras.
After performing Pranayam and paying respect of Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha and Vishnu and to one's preceptor one should then do Sankalpa. In case one does not remember Sankalpa, then one should utter in one's mind the purpose of the Pooja. This should be done with complete faith. After Sankalpa, perform Pooja of Various Lord and wash Rudraksha in Panch Amrit and finally with Water. Put a black thread in the Rudraksha and wear it. |
