One of the unique features of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (Deemed University) is that the University Convocation is celebrated on exactly the same day every year, ever since the University was formed. The University Convocation is on 22nd of November every year, just one day before the Birthday Celebrations. Bhagawan Himself being the Chancellor declares the Convocation open, after the members of the Convocation procession are seated on the stage. Bhagawan in His Divine Discourse exhorts the students of the University to stick to the Indian Cultural Ethos and Values and to practice Sathya and Dharma throughout their life, true to the motto of the University. Many eminent personalities from different walks of life have been the chief guests at the Convocations and have appreciated the Institute's efforts in the fostering of Education in Human Values.
